The reality for doctors in the Gaza Strip, who risk their own lives for their patients, is overwhelming. Palestinian medics live, help, and die every day in this conflict. Nearly 500 medical workers have already been killed on the ground in the bombings.
In the Gaza Strip, an Israeli military operation has been ongoing for many months, costing the lives of 35,000 Palestinians. A major problem in this region is maintaining properly functioning medical facilities. Without the help of qualified personnel and appropriate equipment, people die from seemingly minor injuries. Currently, only 12 out of 36 hospitals are operational in the Gaza Strip. Patients lie on the floors, and the facilities lack the power needed to run ventilators, incubators, and medical monitors. Amputations are performed without anesthesia, and vinegar is used for disinfection. Medics do not have access to anesthetics, antibiotics, or anti-inflammatory drugs. As a result, they are often able to help only 3 out of 10 people seeking support.

Gaza Strip
The Polish Medical Mission is fully aware of the severity of the situation in the Gaza Strip. Together with our long-term partner, Terre des Hommes Italia, and the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, we are organizing aid for those in need. Thanks to the support of our donors, two shipments of aid have already reached them, containing medical supplies, clothing, and infant formula. The third shipment will be dedicated to supporting the work of doctors at the hospital in Deir al-Balah, where our Jordanian partner, JHAS, is organizing emergency teams along with Project Hope. With Israeli permits, medics from Jordan, Qatar, and Oman can safely enter the Gaza Strip. This invaluable dedication can save many lives.
