On December 1st, World AIDS Day, the Polish Medical Mission, in cooperation with FRIDA Ukraine, organized an educational campaign and free medical testing for residents of Kyiv.
As part of the initiative, nearly 100 people were tested for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and syphilis. During the event, participants had the opportunity to learn more about the risks associated with everyday activities, such as visiting a dentist or nail technician. Many realized that HIV infection is a risk that can affect anyone. Unfortunately, some participants still believed that the issue did not concern them, highlighting the importance of awareness campaigns.
The Polish Medical Mission organizes such events to raise awareness, promote prevention, dispel myths, and provide accurate information about HIV and other infectious diseases. The gratitude and recognition expressed by participants confirmed the importance of these efforts and motivate the organization to continue working for public health.
The Polish Medical Mission extends its thanks to everyone involved in the campaign. The organization believes that together, it is possible to effectively fight the epidemic and build a healthier, more informed society.
